Beauty & the Budget: 6 MUST HAVE Drugstore Products

I’ll be the first person to say that I’m no expert when it comes to makeup. I love getting dolled up, and you’ll almost never see me totally barefaced, but, my technique isn’t always 100% flawless. It’s been a lot of trial and error and years of teaching myself through blogs and YouTube videos. I guess that’s real life and unfortunately, we can’t all be as skilled as MAC makeup artists, am I right? Ahead, I’m sharing products I swear by that aren’t only amazing, but affordable too!

1. L’Oréal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream

If you aren’t a lover of heavy foundation, and prefer a more medium coverage, this stuff really is magic! I actually discovered this product back in high school when I “borrowed” it from my grandma and have loved it ever since!

2. Milani Bronzer XL

Not gonna lie, I love this stuff, and it’ll probably last me the next 5 years since it’s so huge, but it’s got its pros and cons. Pros: Super pigmented, you barely need any product to create a contour and the size for the price can’t be beat. Con: It totally smells, y’all. I’ve never purchased a bronzer that has such a distinct scent, but this stuff with its hairspray-esque odor sure does. I look past that though since I love the product and you can’t smell anything once it’s on your face.

3. L’Oréal Paris True Match Crayon Concealer

This stuff is a freakin’ lifesaver! Not only do I use it to highlight under my contour and under the eyes, it works great as an eye primer. Creasing eyeshadow is just flat out not cute and I have yet to find a primer that I love that isn’t crazy expensive. This works like a charm and if you try it out, 2 layers of concealer on the eyelid is what’s worked best for me and has prevented creasing 100%.

4. Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Define + Fill Duo & Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara

The first product definitely defines and fills and does a great job at it! I’ll probably never be 100% happy with my brows, but this makes them a little more manageable. After filling them in, I always follow up with the brow gel which I love but wish had a slightly smaller wand. For now, it does the trick since I’m not willing to splurge on the Benefit “Gimmie Brow.”

5. NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker

I totally suck at eyeliner, but this stuff makes it a little easier. Don’t even get me started on winged-liner. I always start off confident and by the end of the 10-minute process, I’m totally wiped out! I’m sure even the best of makeup gurus can relate. I’ve repurchased this eyeliner probably a dozen times and will def be coming back to it as long as they keep making it!

6. L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara

For years and years I have never found a mascara that I loved or even liked for that matter. This stuff completely changed my lashes! After trying too many different kinds of mascaras to count, I was watching a beauty video from one of my favorite YouTubers, Bonnie Hoellien, who mentioned this mascara was her fave. Since her makeup always looks flawless I had to try it out and I def do not regret it! The thin wand gives lashes that “WOW” factor we all want! Repurchasing for sure!

What are some of your fave products??
