It’s something we’ve all faced and will continue to face at some point in our lives. Whether it’s from a friend, significant other, employer, or family member, rejection is never fun. I’ve certainly had my fair share of a variety of rejection throughout my life. For some reason, I always think it’s going to get easier, but it never does. It seems like the older we get, the more passionate we become about things, and when these things aren’t handed to us, the rejection stings just a little more than we had anticipated.
Hummus + Pumpkin?? Totally good or totally gross? Well… I tested it and I can say with confidence that it’s totally good! Even though I love pumpkin flavored everything, I was skeptical to combine these two foods. It ended up tasting delish and was crazy easy to make! Highly recommend!
Since fall is football season, I thought it would be fun to show y’all a look that I would wear to a game. These shots were taken at my local high school; not the one I went to, but I was still feeling all of the nostalgic feels! Definitely took me back to the days of Homecoming games and pep rallies.
I don’t always dress up for Halloween, but when I do, I want something that’s fun and sassy, yet covered up. Ahead I’m sharing three costumes that aren’t only easy and affordable, but super festively fun!
You’re probably thinking that you just saw these boots in yesterday’s post, but I just can’t get enough of them! My favorite thing about OTK boots is that they can be taken from day to night and dressy to casual. I wore these boots on one of our last days in Cape May, and they were surprisingly comfortable! I dressed them down with this plaid shirt dress that I wore open, like a duster/cardigan, some basic jeans, a basic black tank, and a grey circle scarf.
These pictures were taken right before my family and I attended a Sherlock Holmes dinner theatre performance last weekend in Cape May, NJ. I purchased these black wedge OTK boots back in early August, so I obviously couldn’t break these bad boys out until the weather cooled off significantly. I was so excited that the weather was chilly enough to wear them! Fun fact: We snapped these pics outside of the Emlen Physick Estate, which is a historic and beautiful must-visit spot in Cape May!
In one of my previous posts, I talked about an upcoming trip to Cape May, New Jersey. Cape May is a town that is very near and dear to my heart. I am so thankful that my family and I are able to visit several times throughout the year! Fall is my favorite season to be at the beach- the crowds have died down and the weather has cooled off to a perfect temperature. Even though we had a couple rainy days this past weekend, that didn’t stop us from visiting all of our favorite spots!
The anticipation was building. I stood behind the curtain, waiting for my cue to enter. I heard the dialogue of the other actors on stage and felt the presence of the audience even though I couldn’t see them yet. Finally, it was time. I walked on stage, wearing a poodle skirt, timidly carrying a lunch tray and began my dialogue. I’ll never forget that moment.
When I saw this recipe on Pinterest, I couldn’t get over how cute it was and knew I had to make it. A pound cake with a surprise pumpkin in the middle… that’s just as festively fall as the orange pepper pumpkins I made the other week! I started rummaging through the cookie cutter drawer in my kitchen and before I found a pumpkin cutter, I saw one in the shape of a pig, and then it dawned on me: What if I did a blue pig in the center instead of an orange pumpkin?
