What I’ve Worn To The Greenbrier

It’s no secret that I’m totally and completely obsessed with the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV, and every year during this time, I get a wicked case of Greenbrier fever. (Let’s be honest, I have Greenbrier fever all throughout the year. 🙂 ) For the past few years, my family and I have gone during the middle of January, but this year we are most likely going in March. Since this is the time we would usually be going, I’m finding myself missing my favorite place quite a lot. Besides the gorgeous interiors, spectacular views, amazing food and shops, and other amenities the hotel has to offer, one of my favorite things about going every year is figuring out what to wear to dinner each night. Since the Greenbrier has a formal and traditional vibe, I have so much fun choosing something glitzy and glam that I wouldn’t normally wear. I thought it would be fun to share some of my past looks.

Dress: Forever 21

* Standing in front of a replica of Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress!

Dress: I think this might have been Target!

* This is one of my favorite rooms in the hotel. The huge portrait of Grace Kelly is so stunning and elegant. Fun fact: This room was the location of a one-on-one date on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette!

Dress: Lord and Taylor

* This just might be one of my favorite dresses ever! I felt like I fit right in with the whimsical patterns of the hotel. I’m not a fan of yellow at all, but the mustard yellow and blue and purple colors of the skirt really make it pop! I’m also waiting for the day that my hair is that long again!

Dress: Lord and Taylor

* I couldn’t find a pic with just me in it that showed the whole dress, so I picked this one with my Uncle Bob who wore a tie to match me!

Dress: My mom’s from the 80s! (LOL if you get that reference.)

Dress: Lord and Taylor

* If you’ve read my About page, then you’ve already seen this picture, but I love this dress so much! I wish I had taken a pic of the unique criss cross back!

Dress: Lord and Taylor

January, 2016

Dress: Lord and Taylor (I get almost all of my dresses there!)

* I didn’t want to splurge on the Aminah Abdul bow pumps, and this pair from Amazon did the job just fine! I LOVE the style of them though, so I just might purchase the Aminah ones in the future!

February, 2016

* This trip was a total surprise to me and was such a blast! My parents surprised me for my 21st birthday with an overnight trip and hair and makeup session with Monte from Say Yes to the Dress. Totally unforgettable!

…………………….

I couldn’t help but include some throwbacks from my first trip to The Greenbrier. What can I say? I’ve always been one to love to pose in front of pretty things. 🙂

I’m just giddy thinking about what to wear this year, and I already have one look sort of figured out, but I’m thinking I might want my second outfit to be a little different. I’ve worn a lot of dresses with fuller skirts, so I was thinking I may do something a little different this year! If you have any ideas let me know!
