You may be thinking: “Who in their right mind misses any trends from high school??” I’ll admit, I had some severe fashion faux pas back in high school, but there are a few things that I can’t help but wish would come back as trendy! Side note: this picture is not one of those trends! I’m pretty sure this was from 70’s or 80’s day during Spirit Week, taken with some of my best friends from high school! I hope none of these girls want to kill me if they see this, haha! It was just so embarrassingly fitting for this post! Can we please look at my “bangs”?!! Ugh, definitely a “What the heck was I thinking??” moment.
Today’s outfit inspo came from the one and only, Ree Drummond (aka: The Pioneer Woman!) Not only does she have an awesome show on the Food Network, a majorly successful blog, several cookbooks, a line at Walmart, and a new store in Oklahoma called “The Mercantile,” but she has an awesome sense of style!
In case you were wondering, I don’t dress like this on the daily, nor would I try to, LOL! I was attempting to do my best Kardashian impression (monochromatic everything, minimal accessories, a slicked back pony, and you can’t forget the indoor sunnies a la Kris Jenner.) How did I do?? I hate to say it, but I totally keep up with the Kardashians! Even though there are so many things that I can’t stand about that family, I still keep coming back to them. If you’ve ever watched the Kardashians, you’ve probably noticed that in almost every episode, the family is eating this mystery salad from a plastic container.
I know my usual upload days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, but I thought today (President’s Day) would be the perfect day to showcase a red, white, and blue look! I love this country that I am blessed to call home, and am truly proud to be an American.

They’re the worst kind of parties out there. They don’t involve cake, gifts, friends, family, or laughter. Usually there’s only one guest in attendance. Sometimes we may vent to someone near by, but in many cases, we feel as though they can’t relate to what we’re going through. So we continue the solo pity party.
If you aren’t planning on doing any big outing for V-Day, what better way to celebrate than with a heart shaped pizza, a big box of chocolates, and a good ol romantic movie or chick flick?? I’ve rounded up some of my favorites below that would be especially appropriate to watch on the day of love!
I used to be a huge fan of graphic tees (R.I.P. to the Aeropostale and Hollister days) but haven’t really worn them for the past few years. I’ve discovered a newfound love for shirts and sweatshirts with cute and catchy phrases- they add something extra to a look and can help to show a little bit of your personality.
As much as I love the cold weather, I often find myself getting into a bit of a slump towards the middle of the winter. There’s nothing like some upbeat music to put me in a better mood! I put together the ultimate playlist of songs that are sure to lift your spirits! I threw in some throwbacks for fun that never fail to make me want to start jamming along. Enjoy!!
I can’t believe January has already come and gone. A part of me still feels like taking down my Christmas tree two weeks ago was too soon! It’s been a good start to the 2017 year, and with all I have to be grateful for, I really can’t complain. Today, I’m sharing some things that I have been loving this past month!
