This won’t be something I do every Friday on the blog, but I thought today it would be fun to compile a list of some random things that I’ve been loving lately. This pic above is one that I shared on my Instagram earlier this week. I’ve been loving this color lately!
1. PlyoJam Workouts
I’ve talked a little bit about how I’ve really been trying to stay consistent with working out this year, and so far I think I’ve done pretty well. I’m definitely someone who gets bored doing the same workout, so when I discovered these workout videos on YouTube, I was hooked! I like to do 10 or 11 videos and combine them together to make a 30 min workout. They aren’t super hardcore or anything, but if you do enough of them, it’s such a fun, awesome workout! If cardio/dance style exercise is your jam, you need to check out PlyoJam for sure!
2. Smashbox Always Sharp Eyeliner
I love this eyeliner by Smashbox for so many reasons. 1. It’s self-sharpening every time you open it. 2. It’s so incredibly easy to get a thin line. On days when I don’t feel like sweating buckets, stressing over my winged liner, this one is just perfect. The downside is that it’s a little bit pricy and doesn’t last super long, so I may have to hunt for a drugstore dupe!
3. Ed Sheeran’s song, “Galway Girl”
This song is so catchy and totally takes me back to my middle school Irish dance days with it’s Riverdance vibes in the chorus!
4. Claussen Pickles
So random, I know! I’ve always loved pickles, but if you’re a pickle lover like me and you haven’t tried Claussen pickles, you have not lived! I randomly picked these up at the store about a month back and have been obsessed ever since!
4. “Missing Richard Simmons” Podcast
I haven’t listened to a podcast in a while, but I recently found this one through Carly, aka, The College Prepster, and I am addicted! I used to exercise, (LOL it was really pretending to exercise) to Richard Simmon’s, “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” when I was little. After so many years of success, he was supposed to teach a fitness class in 2014, never showed up, and hasn’t been seen since then. This podcast is hosted by a friend of Simmons who hasn’t seen him since his disappearance, and investigates why this could have happened. It’s so interesting!
5. This Curling Technique
I’ve loved Kayley Melissa’s videos for so many years, and this one is one of my favorites. This method for curling your hair with a straightener is so much simpler than most methods you’ve probably tried. The couple times I’ve tried it, I’ve really liked the results!
What are some recent favorites of yours?? Let me know!
