I’m not someone who’s experienced a whole lot of change in my life. I’ve never moved. I haven’t experienced the loss of a loved one that I am super close with. The longest I’ve been away from my family is like, two weeks max… heck, I’ve never even dyed my hair! (Except for that one time in high school I let a friend talk me into dying a little chunk towards the back using boiling water and red Kool-Aid… Not my best look, but at least it went away… like 6 months later, LOL!)
I know my usual upload days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, but I thought today (President’s Day) would be the perfect day to showcase a red, white, and blue look! I love this country that I am blessed to call home, and am truly proud to be an American.

They’re the worst kind of parties out there. They don’t involve cake, gifts, friends, family, or laughter. Usually there’s only one guest in attendance. Sometimes we may vent to someone near by, but in many cases, we feel as though they can’t relate to what we’re going through. So we continue the solo pity party.
The other night I did something I almost never do- I curled my hair using hot rollers. I rarely use them, and there’s a few reasons why. 1: They’re a pain in the neck to put in. They’re either too tight or too lose, and don’t even get me started on those little metal things that come with most sets that are meant to secure the rollers. Horrible! 2: They’re super time consuming, at least for me. I could have those things in for a good hour and a half, and my hair still won’t have that bouncy, effortless effect that I want. 3: They’re unpredictable. When you put hot rollers in your hair, you never know what it’s going to end up looking like. You could be left with a head of hair that Khloe Kardashian herself would be jealous of. Or, you end up with a hot mess of straight pieces mixed with curly ones, mixed with kinky ones, mixed with frizzy ones… You get the idea.
